Shimon was born in Rishon LeZion in the center of the country. Traveled around the world for many years. He specialized in polishing gemstones, goldsmiths and jewelry design in Naples and India. After his marriage, he moved to the Galile.
For about 20 years he ran a Judaica and jewelry gallery in the old city of Safed. Until he had to retire due to a medical problem
Over the years Shimon participated in many exhibitions in the United States and around the world and was recognized as an expert in his field.
Shimon is a multidisciplinary artist. His creative spirit draws him to explore a different artistic field each time.
By way of self-study while trial and error he specializes and develops unique new techniques
The Process
Gemstones in their raw form attracted Shimon’s during his travels in the world, from every place he passed he collected stones of different shapes and colors, his natural curiosity led him to learn from craftsmen and stone polishers he met on the road, in the years he returned to Israel he was fascinated by the stones of Eilat, the stone that was mine only in Israel and became rare because of the closing of Timna mines , after receiving raw Eilat stones from a polishing factory that worked with the mines in Timna, he began to independently develop his skills in stone polishing
